You had your Audience all figured out. Sliced, diced, polled and processed. A mix of Traditionals, Gen X and these energized Millennials that are super-trended in conversation circles from popular posts to HR leadership “what-do-we-do-about-them” discussions.
Then comes, and on my recent Baby BOOM birthday, The Z’s?!*
Zippy? Zen-ergized? Zing-ly taking on the world?!
What do you do now?
How ‘bout, Relax.
The common, grounding thing amongst all these Gens is the fact that they are all people (whoa, bold generalization, Corey!) looking for help.
And you can help, you the Actor who steps on their stage. They all want something from you—to somehow move their lives forward, personally and professionally, from time spent interacting with you.
Accept the speed of thought, assessment, and technology at which all of them move and adapt your rhythm to theirs. If you’ve got something valuable to share they’ll be with you regardless of the velocity of their daily roll.
So, in your role, are you ready to confidently adapt? Can you shift gears quickly? Do you have other gears and are willing to grind them a bit to match your dynamic Audience?
It’s your stage, your performance. And, you’re ON, with XYZ-ers watching!
